Isn't it beautiful!
April Fools!
Actually, we got invited, along with the rest of our small group at church, to the Bruce's beautiful lake house the first weekend in April. We had a great time of being together, laughter, fellowship, and worship. And the boat ride, hammock swing, and snow cones weren't bad either!
We all arrived Friday night some time after work. We had a casual Saturday morning of play and breakfast, followed by a fun walk with all of the girls.
Maddie is 4, Brylee is almost 1.5, and Jayde is 3 months
The Bruce's have a shaved ice maker, and an assortment of snow cone flavors! Brylee loved 'wedding cake.' (mostly because I made her eat a clear favor - no red stains!)
The water was cold, but Brylee didn't seem to mind, and wanted to play on the steps in the waves the lake made.
Saturday afternoon the boys took the boat out and wakeboarded...
...while the girls hung out and played with kids.
Brylee absolutely loved this hammock swing, and spent a lot of time swinging quite high, I might add.
Sunday morning Brylee enjoyed her first boat ride! She was not so excited about putting on the life jacket, at first. Eventually, she forgot about the life jacket and got intrigued with the other boats driving by.
The water was FREEZING, but not too cold to wake board and ski a little bit. I hadn't done that in over 2 years before I was pregnant with Brylee, and my sore muscles were not thanking me when we got home!
Best Buds!
We are so grateful for the generosity of the Bruce's, and feel very blessed to call them, along with the rest of our small group, Family!
